Tottenham: Patience and Common Sense Needed

In the light of day waking with the realisation that there will be no Champions League football for Spurs next season its understandable to feel deflated, especially after being so near, but put any knee-jerk reaction to one side and think about it...
Spurs at this point in time, lets be honest, are'nt really ready for the step up and would we want to be knocked out of the competition at the early stages anyway and suffer not only embarrassment, but a dent in confidence thus scuppering our Prem League chances?
Yes we didnt qualify, but there is a bigger reason than Chelsea by default taking it, we wasnt good enough, after just having a kind of "good but no cigar season"
Incidently both Chelsea and Bayern Munich looked very ordinary on the night if its any consolation.

A club like Tottenham Hotspur need to be prepared not 'thrown in' at the deep end wearing inflatables.
Its time for Harry Redknapp to recall our out on loan players, assess any injuries, off load any £££ suckers and look at what we've actually got at the club, who we ARE as a squad/team, basically.
The Europa League will be a good training ground for our younger players and the older ones seeking more regular football will be satisfied so we can use this to our long term advantage.

As a supporter I would like Mr Levy to hold our 'best' players to their contracts or, if they have to go, at least get top money for them so we can be competetive this summer in the transfer market.

Qualifying for competions is all well and good but winning competitions is what its all about.

Harry right, Villa are a great side....duh

So Redknapp was right all along when in his pre-match interview he said "Villa are a great side, this is going to be a tough game", so really, lets get this right, Spurs did well to get a 1-1 draw, silly me, I thought we had just missed the opportunity of a lifetime to secure 3rd spot in the league and Champions League football by not beating a side that were sitting 3rd from bottom in the table.
This defeatest attitude before every game from Harry Redknapp is getting very irritating now, he would probably say that its not being defeatest but him being modest because he wants to come over as a nice bloke but quite frankly its not only the players that need managing, so does he.
Redknapp needs to be man-managed in football management.
To not beat Villa, with respect, who havent had a decent result for over 5 months is little short of a disgrace for a team like Tottenham Hotspur, door wide open (thanks to Kyle Naughton!!) nice one Kyle, to leapfrog @rsenal van persie fc and a possible £30M +  Champions League.
Mr Levy seriously has to dig into the kitty in the summer, its so obvious that we need a decent 20 goal a season striker and a central defender at the very least if we are going to avoid this same debarcle next season.
