Lets face it, if we fail to beat Wolves this week then there is something seriously wrong with Spurs and nevermind about gloating over top 5 position 2 seasons in a row and the odd CL glory results, the nuts and bolts will be that we are deluded. This should be a formality for a football club as big as THFC, CL every season, not quaking in our boots about top four position or getting a result at some northern flea pit.
The debarcle at Bloomfield road, like the other away day let downs was yet another non show of bite and quality. If the excuse is that we find it hard to hit the net because we are away from home then I would suggest the coach leave 4 days early for these fixtures to allow the team to climatise to the likes of Wigan,Bolton,Blackpool,Wolves etc etc
How many points this season have been dropped to lowly opposition?
Report says: 'Not good enough'
My message to Levy would be 'Forget the likes of over-weight C Adam,over-age V Bommel and the over-the-hill P Neville and get 2 top quality strikers brought in ASAP as 1 of ours has 2 left feet and the other needs a visit to specsavers.'
Andy Carrol will be the best English striker since Shearer, (ok..you heard it here first) anyone with a football eye can see that, great for England but not so great for Spurs.
Wolves sitting down the bottom of the prem/dinner table are hungry and Saturday is Dinner Time.

Spurs impressive in X-Rated CL tie

Last night at the San Siro stadium in Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan went head to head in the last 16 of the Champions League and with both sides off the back of wins and in confident mood, the scene was set for a memorable football display from two giants in World Football.
Unfortunately it will be remembered for the wrong reasons as what promised to be a template of how football should be played in the 21st century, it turned into an ugly x-rated debarcle and disgrace from an arogant AC Milan team more like Freddie Kruger than Pele.
Tottenham Hotspur, the pride of London and England, started the game well and in the first half totally outplayed the Italians, confidently keeping possession of the ball and terrorising the Milan defence and were unfortunate not to have been awarded a penalty when the referee failed to notice ball contact with an arm from a panicky Italian defender.
The second half started with the Italians more fired up after no doubt getting a grilling from their coach in the break but Tottenham Hotspur stayed in control which frustrated the experienced but now desperate AC Milan who made cynical tackles and feigned being fouled throughout. The tension from the home side was evident who just couldnt handle a superior Spurs.
Vedran Corluka who had up till now dominated the right flank was carried off with a frightening two footed tackle by dirty ex-arsenal player Mathieu Flamini who was lucky himself to stay on the field only getting a yellow card.
Tottenham Hotspur were always the professional and dominent force in the tie and 4 mins from time Aaron Lennon broke free from the half way line and his electrifying pace took him past the last defender to cross it to Peter Crouch who slotted home the well deserved winner to the delight of the 4000 travelling Spurs faithful supporters.
After the game, instead of shirts being exchanged it was scenes of ugly heated pushing and shoving from the bad losers AC Milan that was on show with close ups of the demented Italian Gennaro Gattuso head-butting Tottenham coach Joe Jordan which was disgusting and is unforgivable.
Thoughts are with Corluka and hopefully his injury isnt as severe as it appeared and he recovers from it quickly.
Last night made me feel proud to support Tottenham Hotspur FC who once again showed their true class on the World stage.
Spurs go marching on and hopefully will add to this 1-0 victory to secure the tie in the return leg at White Hart Lane in 3 weeks time.

"I want you to publish this letter to all Tottenham Hotspur fans as I am sick of reading defamatory remarks about me on these blogs.
Firstly, I need to get a few facts straight.
When I was at Spartak Moscow I was their most prolific goalscorer and in 2003 was called up for my national side Russia and have indeed been selected ever since. In 2008 I scored twice in Russia's thrashing of England and after the summer Euro 2008 was named in the "23 -man Team of the Tournament"
In September 2008 Tottenham Hotspur paid £14M for me and I began a new chapter in my life moving to London and playing in the Premiership.
Since adapting to the Premiership I have scored many quality goals and some very important ones but competition for places at Spurs is fierce so my match selection has suffered as a result.
I would like to remind the fickle Spurs supporters that they wouldnt be in the Champions League at all without my imput and presence up front (sometimes as lone striker) even though at times without the service that a quality striker deserves it might seem as, how you say, "gone on the missing list"
I refute the criticism that I have no commitment or that I am lazy, Mr Harry Redknapp once told me that he regards me as a very unique aquisition and this encouragement was invaluable to me and my progress at Spurs.I will travel to Milan and if Mr Redknapp selects me then I will indeed try to get on the score sheet.
I feel that Im worth more than the £14M that was paid for my services and in the summer if certain criteria hasnt been met here at Tottenham Hotspur then I may return to my homeland where I know Im appreciated and a household name.
To all the Spurs supporters that have, how you say, "given me grief", all I can say is you will find it very hard if not impossible to find a quality striker to replace me but in the meantime get behind me and your team."

Benoit Assou-Ekotto Most Improved Player

Assou-Ekotto is without doubt the most improved Spurs player if not "Player of the Season" thus far. To sell this player would be madness, without his 100% commitment and quality defending that he has shown this season Spurs would most definately be in a lower league position and possibly non contenders in the CL. Its no wonder that Juventus are keen to have him as in this sort of form he is World Class. In the shadow of our other World Class defender Gareth Bale, he has stuck to his job sometimes thanklessly digging in and saving our blushes on more than one occasion. Also this season he has shown a great skill and willingness to help out in midfield and shown great prowess and skill going forward, even getting in the odd shot or two!
A great signing, great player and a VERY important part of the Super Spurs Show.
Lets vocally get behind Assou and let him know how much we appreciate his quality and commitment to our team.
